My name is Annie, founder of Annie et ses Coutures. I've been sewing forever… or almost. But nothing in my background pointed me toward making it a career.
I first completed a degree in criminology. A more "traditional"… safer path. And yet, my passion for sewing was always stronger.
It kept drawing me back, again and again, to creating.
After training in design, I decided to follow this path, even though it was less defined. I launched my first business: a maternity clothing collection.
What was meant to be a project quickly became a true adventure.
I then created collections for women, then for plus sizes, with one constant goal: to offer well-cut, flattering and accessible clothing.
Over the years, I designed over 150 collections, sold across Canada.
But despite all that success… something was missing.
I felt a deep need to return to the very essence of what I love: creating… and sharing.
That's how Annie et ses Coutures was born. With a clear vision: to make quality sewing — the kind you see in high-end ready-to-wear — accessible to those who want to go further.
I wanted to show that you can sew clothes with a professional finish. I wanted to demystify the techniques. But most of all, I wanted to restore confidence.
Because I see them — those passionate women. The ones who love to sew… but stay in their comfort zone. The ones who doubt, hesitate, wonder if they're capable of going further.
And I know they are.
